A closer look.

The project comprised specialist demolition and refurbishment works to the Trans-Shipment Shed at Shannon Harbour. Works included the controlled removal and disposal of the asbestos roof, structural trusses, stanchions and gantry crane steelwork associated with the existing canopy.

Following dismantling, refurbishment works included replacement cladding, preparation and painting of the retained structure, together with associated surface water drainage works. The project required careful planning and coordination due to its location over the canal navigation
