Project overview

A closer look.

The project comprised a programme of civil engineering and junction improvement works at Junction 9 (R916) and Junction 10 (N55) on the N6 Athlone Relief Road.

Works included drainage upgrades, new and modified footpaths, tactile paving and improved wheelchair and cycle access, together with concrete works, signage alterations, bollard installation and associated road infrastructure improvements.

The works were carefully coordinated within a live road environment to enhance accessibility, safety and functionality for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
