Project overview

A closer look.

The project comprised the design and delivery of substantial building and civil engineering works associated with the development of a data centre within an existing live facility.

Works included extensive site excavation and the diversion and re-routing of existing services, together with the construction of serviced reinforced concrete bases to accommodate heavy mechanical and electrical plant. The project also involved the construction of new electrical switch rooms and a substation, as well as extensive service trenching, ducting and reinstatement of existing car park areas.

PD Contractors delivered the civil engineering works on a design-and-build basis, with works carefully planned and coordinated to facilitate construction within an operational facility.
